Building Management
Today's sophisticated commercial
buildings require sophisticated control
systems to operate. But don't be fooled,
just because the control system is
complex does not mean it is difficult to
operate. Many of the tasks of a building
control system occur without any
interaction from the end-user. Various
sensors and controllers can automatically
operate a building in an efficient manner.
For example, when an area is vacant
lights will turn off and the climate is
adjusted to a conservative setting to
save energy. The building can also sense
water leaks, shut off the water supply,
and then notify the appropriate
maintenance personel to correct the
problem.
